Erin studied Herbal Medicine with one thought in mind:

All people should have access and connection with plant medicines that are SAFE, EFFECTIVE, & ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, regardless of AGE, GENDER, INCOME, or EDUCATION LEVEL.

ABOUT ERIN

Erin is a Clinical Herbalist in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Australia.

Growing up in Orange, NSW, Erin was influenced by her mother's work in pharmacy and her father's farming background.
Inheriting both their love for land care and people care, Erin developed a vision of integrating these passions into a "FARMacy" philosophy. This vision took root during her studies in environmental science and regenerative agriculture.

Her deep connection to nature led her to explore foraging wild foods, where she discovered that many plants considered 'weeds' on her family farm were, in fact, valuable plant medicines. It was these weedy plants that called her to dig deeper into methods of plant healing and pursue training as a Clinical Herbalist, where this new found philosophy could finally bloom.

Erin possesses a deep curiosity about healing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels, and regards each of these facets as integral parts of the healing ecosystem.

Working with patients from all walks of life, Erin sees her patients through a compassionate, understanding, non-judgemental lens. Her aim is to meet individuals where they are, creating a supportive environment for the healing potential of plants.

Passionate about cultivating, foraging, and sharing herbal medicine as a means of connecting with both the land and its people, Erin feels privileged to serve her community in this capacity.

Her educational background includes:

  • Bachelor in Health Science majoring in Herbal Medicine
(& membership with the Naturopaths and Herbalist Association of Australia)

  • Diploma in Environmental Science.

  • Permaculture Design Certificate

ERIN’s CLINICAL METHOD

  • investigate

The journey begins with a comprehensive 60-minute consultation, during which I delve deeply into various aspects of your well-being.

This involves asking an extensive array of questions related to your physical health, mental health, lifestyle, home environment, daily habits, movement patterns, and nutrition.

Through this process, I aim to gain a holistic understanding of how to both myself, and the plants can be of service.

  • CONNECT

Following this, we connect the dots between all of the elements we have explored together. This includes understanding the vitality of your body's organs and systems, evaluating your lifestyle, habits, nutrition, and pinpointing any specific health goals you aim to address.

I visualise this process as constructing a comprehensive image of your health's ecosystem—a vast, interconnected web comprising all the facets that shape your life. Each element interacts and influences the others, forming a complex and dynamic network of interconnected elements of well-being.

  • Integrate

The final stage involves applying the insights gathered from your health ecosystem. Once we've comprehensively analyzed this picture, we're better equipped to identify the underlying causes of any imbalances or dis-ease, forming the foundation for tailored treatment plans that nourish your well-being from its very roots.

We can reflect on potential obstacles that might be impeding your path to wellness and collaboratively work on strategies to overcome these barriers.

Together, we'll integrate plant medicines into your life, fostering a more vital, healthy, and vibrant way of living. This approach aims to empower you to embrace a holistic and sustainable journey towards well-being.

  • ERIN's herbal philosophies

The foundation of my practice in Herbal Medicine rests on three core philosophies:

    HOLISM

Every aspect of our body—physical, emotional, and spiritual health—is intricately interconnected to every other element of our lives: the neighbourhood we live in, the habits we have formed, experiences we have had, the people in our lives and the habitual thoughts we most often entertain.

This ancient perspective, validated by scientific studies in fields such as psychoneuroendocrinology and the bio-psycho-social theory of health, highlights the web of influences on healing.

Therefore, my approach to herbal medicine embraces this interconnectedness and supports individuals holistically, employing a wide array of healing tools, including personalised herbal medicine selection, lifestyle adjustments, movement, sunlight exposure, stress management, and dietary choices.

    THE VITAL FORCE

Acknowledging the body's innate healing capacity, often referred to as the vital force, is a cornerstone of many healing traditions worldwide.
All healing cultures acknowledge this force.
In China it is referred to as Qi (or chi).
In India, it is known as Prana.
In Science, it is known as homeostasis— the body's natural self-regulation toward balance and optimal function.

In my practice working with herbal medicines, I recognise not only the vital force within our bodies but also within the plants themselves. It's the dynamic interaction between these vital forces that fosters health and healing, as plants gently guide and empower our bodies in their healing processes.

    ACTIVE PATIENT PARTICIPATION

My role as a practitioner is to guide, educate, and empower you on your health journey. I'm committed to supporting you in becoming an active participant in your own wellness. Your insights and instincts about your health and well-being are crucial, informing the pathway toward healing, vitality, and health. Your active involvement is essential in guiding how I, along with plant medicines, can best assist you on this journey.
